English Language Learners Asked by Nrc on December 17, 2021
Can you suggest similar expressions to "What’s happening?"
The first that came up to me are:
- What’s going on?
- What’s up?
I am learning English, I am in a small country in Europe. I am looking for other ways to say it:
Note that "What's doing" (suggested by @Lambie) is NOT grammatical.

It's interesting with respect to @Reagan's answer that "craic" is also pronounced and sometimes written "crack".

I’ve started using "What’s cracka lacking"? I think I saw it on the internet and thought it was funny so now I use it. I’m pretty sure only high schoolers and other people around that age use this saying.
