Australia east coast data access WW3

I am currently looking into

And wondering why no station for the Australia East Coast is defined in the list.
The northernmost station that I see is EBAST, several 100km south of Sydney.
Nothing farther up the coast between Australia and New Zealand.

Why?
Are there any alternative resources?
Can I somehow hook into an API and access data for that area?
