Database Administrators Asked on December 8, 2021
Sorry if the title is a bit ambiguous – I’m not asking about anything to do with SELECT
.
This is the problem: I have a database with tables and a number of foreign keys defined between them. In many situations this can become a stumbling block – like when you want to delete data, or when you load data.
In the case of loading, this means you have to figure out the order in which to load the tables, because otherwise you get into trouble. So, it would be nice to have a tool that could look at all the foreign key relations and figure out which order would work – is there any such tool?
