I’m trying to write a program in python that takes in list of all stocks on different exchanges and filters them out according to multiple criteria (e.g. marketcap has to be larger than 500m, PE ratio below 15, etc). Is there a way to rank those stocks that do not satisfy the criterion by the degree to which they could? For example, in the data set of "leftover stocks", put the ones whose marketcap is almost at $500M and PE ratio is almost below 15 higher than one whose is not? For now, I want to weigh these different attributes of equal importance. I wouldn’t necessarily call this a classification problem because I’m not trying to predict anything.
