When creating a new entry, what controls field focus?

When I create a new entry, I noticed that the focus jumps to a field within the first matrix block. This is not something I explicitly set, I can’t find anything in the documentation about what controls it. I would prefer to have the first field in the list, the title feel that is, be focused on load.
