Re- Arrange the Address-Country select field

I try to increase the usability of my shipping address input form.

The country list is pretty impractical. I’d like to have the most used countries on top.

Dropdown List:

Switzerland
Germany
UK
USA
--- < add a disabled select field as separator
Afghanistan
Albania
… etc etc

Anybody happen to have a script which reorders this behemoth?
