Force default site for a specific page / entry

I have a site site.com that has a french and english version.

On one page / in one template I’m using a plugin that breaks when the site is switched to the french version site.com/fr/

To get around this, I want to force that template to always redirect to the default site. Something like this:

{% if currentSite.handle != 'default' %}
  **Force a reload using the default site**
{% endif %}

Any ideas? I’m using the great Siteswitcher plugin, but as far as I can tell that only let’s you create links. I’d prefer not to have to do it by making a link and then using JS to trigger it.
