So I know that a pure sample of hydrogen peroxide would definitely bleach litmus paper and turn it white.
But somewhere I had read that hydrogen peroxide when in an aqueous solution, does not affect litmus paper.
Is this right? Doesn’t seem to be, the bleaching of litmus by hydrogen peroxide is due to it’s oxidising property, and that property should still be there when it’s dissolved in water, since there is no reaction between hydrogen peroxide and water.
