From reading public media I have the impression that while peanut allergy is not more common then pollen allergies, peanut allergy is often more problematic and sometimes even deadly.
The most common cause of food-induced anaphylaxis, peanuts, account
for 80 percent of such fatal or near-fatal allergic reactions.
