Biology Asked by Leticia on February 18, 2021
I have been searching it for a while, and i haven’t found an answer, why do common wasps (Vespula vulgaris) create a new nest every year instead of using the previous one if the old one is still functional.
Is there something in the nest that in somehow "expires" and will be an impediment to reuse?
Does it have something to be with the orientation due to the earth rotation?
