Order of arrangement of tissue layers in dicot Stem and roots due to secondary growth

Biology Asked by Holyenol on February 3, 2021

While studying about the Secondary Growth in Dicot Roots and stems I came to know that due to the secondary growth the peripheral layers i.e. the epidermis and primary cortex.. these two layers get gradually crushed and need to be replaced and cork cambium does that job by the formation of Periderm.
Now due to the secondary growth the order of tissues should be in these way (which I think)

From inner to outer

  • Primary Xylem
  • secondary Xylem
  • vascular cambium
  • secondary phloem
  • primary phloem
  • pericycle
  • Periderm
  • primary cortex
  • epidermis

Please let me know if I’m right.Thanks.
