I have recently started studying indoor farming with the help of aeroponics system. But from what I know have read (I may have misunderstood or misread something, so please excuse me for that). The growth of plant via an aeroponic system began when the seedling has developed enough roots for transplanting from soil to the cup (or whatever is the technical term for the holder used in the system) like in the photo below.
Is this true? Or they use aeroponics system for the growth of the seed too? And if not, what if we put the seed in a bag of fabric, that allows the excess water to drain while storing enough to keep the seed in a moist environment, and keeping the light intensity to a minimum. For argument sake, how about we discuss a simple bean plant.
