Changing shock travel and stroke

I am looking at a DHX2 shock which is 230×65 I have a bronson which is 200×57 is it possible to resize the DHX2 to fit my frame. I have seen some folks use spacers but seeing as I am trying to downsize it I think it may be unfeasible or perhaps very expensive new shaft etc. 30mm difference in eye to eye and 8mm in stroke.
