I’m trying to understand the outputs given by the DATCOM method. For example I have this formula for pitching moment coefficient :
DATCOM give me these coefficients related to the pitching moment :
cm
, cma
, cmq
, cmad
, and dcm_sym
for the elevator contribution.
I have seen in some models that the total contribution would be an addition of static contribution (cm
), dynamic contribution (cmq * q * Lref / V + cmad * alphadot * Lref / V
), and elevator contribution (dcm_sym
).
Is cma
"contained" in cm
coefficient?
Why is dcm_sym
not multiplied by the elevator deflection δm
?
