I’m a new Linux user and I can’t get my laptop to connect to WiFi using Lubuntu 18.04. There weren’t any additional drivers I could download. I searched and executed the following commands:
rfkill list
– outputted only bluetoothlshw -C network
– outputted nothinglspci
and lspci -knn
– outputted nothing related to Network or Wireless connectionlsusb
– same as aboveMy WiFi adapter is Realtek RTL8723BS 802.11n SDIO. I figured the OS may not be detecting it, according to the results above.
I also tried to connect to the internet by bluetooth tethering, which worked. The WiFi works on Windows normally. What should I do at this point?
Edit: using the command dmesg | grep -i sdio
outputs the following:
[ 22.819521] mmc1: new high speed SDIO card at address 0001
Edit 2: using the command dmesg | grep -i rtl
outputs the following:
[ 46.099040] Bluetooth: hci0: RTL: examining hci_ver=06 hci_rev=000b lmp_ver=06 lmp_subver=8723
