Ask Ubuntu Asked by Paul Snopov on December 25, 2020
Today I decided to install on my old PC Lubuntu 18.04.
Recently I’ve messed up with installation: for some reason my old PC can’t see bootable USB, after I messed up with installation — I tried installing Lubuntu without bootable USB, but accidently overwrote Windows system, with which I was booted, so my PC shut down and basically I had no OS as I understand. I always had Verifying DMI Pool Data
string with plenty of dots on my screen with blanking space on a new one, and I decided that this error was because I had no system on hdd(as I thought and still think).
So I took HDD from this old PC and plugged it in my laptop as an external hard drive. Then I installed Lubuntu on it, put it back in PC, boot it, but for some reason I still get this Verifying DMI Pool Data
string with plenty of dots and blanking space on a new string. And now I barely understand, what is going on. I hope anyone here can help me with this situation. Thanks.
