Ubuntu 20.04: Connect your online accounts

This is my first time in Linux and have started with ubuntu 20.04. Once I finished with the installation and logged in, the Gnome-initial-setup window popped up with the ‘Connect your online Accounts’ title.

I signed up with an ubuntu account instantly. However, irrespective of trying multiple times, I am not able to connect to Google or Microsoft accounts.

That is, every time I select google, it opens a new window, displaying a message,

Loading “accounts.google.com”…

but does not lead to the sign-in page.
