Permision Denied - minecraft-launcher

I am trying to bypass "bash: /usr/bin/minecraft-launcher: Permission denied" I do not have access to sudo and I need a way to get around it. Is there any way to do this? I am using "uxterm" and am fairly new so I would appreciate it if the answer where simple.
