Prismatic Afterglow Xbox One controller isn't recognized by the pc app even with the original cable

Just as the title says i want to use the app but i cant, i have reset the controller and that hasn’t fixed it either, i have used another cable but no luck, i cleaned the cable thinking it may be dirty but that still hasn’t worked, everywhere i look for information about this leads to "just use the Xbox one app" but i do not have one or have access to one. Thank you for your input.
