Minecraft Freezes after Short time

When I open Minecraft, after a few seconds of joining a world or a server, it freezes. It doesn’t crash or say it’s not responding, since it seems like it does work, because my cursor shows when I hit escape. I tried waiting for it to crash, but it didn’t crash.

Other questions show that their world freezes while loading, but mine loads just fine. There is a small window of time when you join a world where you can move around, but it then freezes. It’s very weird.
