Is it possible to convert The Sims 3 Xbox 360 save files to the PC version?

I have old save files on the Xbox 360 that I would like to play again, unfortunately I can’t on the Xbox 360 because of reasons. But I managed to copy the save files onto a flash drive then to my PC.

I also have the PC version of the game and I’m wondering if it’s possible and if anyone ever tried it.

I used Modio, and following this guide until the 11th step I managed to get the save files out, and these are what I got:

As you can see from the screenshot above, they don’t have file extensions, just plain files. And the save names now has an extra "S" at the beginning of the file name. (so for example the save I named "bfam" back then became Sbfam)

The Sims 3 PC version save files, on the other hand, has .sim3 extension to the file folder and inside it a .dat file, a .data file, an .nhd file, and two .package files, like this:

After I renamed the Xbox 360 save files adding .nhd as file extension (because my dumb head thought it makes more sense seeing the similarity in file size), I used Modio again to open one of those renamed save files, the one called "SANIL" (which actual save name is ANIL) and I see these:

So basically I need help in identifying which of these files should be renamed with .nhd and .package file extensions etc.

And what exactly are the files inside a PC version save games? Meta data, Sunset Valley nhd and package, TravelDB package, what does each of them do? Is one more important than the other? Will the save file still be readable even without some of those files? Does anyone have any idea?

As for whether or not it will work… to be honest I feel like I’ll try either way, trying to rename the Xbox 360 files with different extension each time while trying to see if it’ll work on the PC version. This is just to get some help from people before I actually try it myself because I’m still very confused.

My knowledge with these is limited and any kind of help will be appreciated. Sorry it was a long one and maybe it was a little confusing too. If you have any idea how to make this work, please tell me, thank you.
