How do the various types of vehicle damage affect driving?

I’ve started a playthrough of Snowrunner where I don’t rush to get the strongest vehicles immediately and in doing so I am starting to feel the effects of accumulated damage on my more fragile trucks. Still, I’m having a hard time understanding how each of the damaged areas affect my vehicles. Tire damage is obvious, but I don’t know what to expect if my truck’s suspension gives out.

For now, I’ve determined that

• Tire destruction deflates your tires, lowering your top speed and reducing your ground clearance
• Engine damage seems to increase the rate of fuel consumption
• Engine destruction can prevent your truck from starting
• Gas tank damage seems to increase your rate of fuel consumption
• Suspension damage is unclear to me
• Transmission damage makes your truck slip to neutral, seemingly at random
• Transmission destruction is unclear to me

Are there any other effects of damaged car parts in Snowrunner? Is this list accurate?
