I want to know if there is a way to edit a KML file so that it, and its labels, are always displayed.
For example, I create a polygon or points file in GoogleEarth (pro), then I save it as a KML. When I export the KML file to my GPS device via Basecamp, I have to manually select “Show on map” for every single track/polygon. This is extremely cumbersome, especially when I have many polygons. I have had a suggestion to convert the KML to GPX, then load it, but this does not produce the result.
I also use the app Maps.Me on android. It is great for displaying KML files created in GoogleEarth. But when I save a KML file to the app, it does not display polygon or point labels. For example, if I have a file with a lot of points, I have to click on each point to see its name. It would great if the point labels can be permanently shown/displayed. The app has no built-in option for this.
I know am asking two things, but would be great to get insights for both!
Hope it all makes sense.
