Ask Ubuntu Asked by Zach Wadzinski on December 29, 2020
I turned my Macbook into an Ubuntu only laptop and its been working fine. I installed an nvidia driver to test something out and restarted my computer only to be left on the boot screen where it just says "ok." I pressed Esc to go into Grub2 to attempt to fix the problem by purging the nvidia drivers but I’m stuck on just a screen that has only grub>
grub>
grub>
grub> etc.
I attempted to get Grub2 to work from here https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Grub2/Troubleshooting#GRUB
but it doesn’t seem to do anything.
I went through and did configfile (hd2,gpt2)/boot/grub/grub.cfg to attempt to load Grub2 but nothing happens.
