My map won't show up once I hold it

Basically the map won’t show at all, like the location, nothing. The map just shows in my inventory from the picture you can see. I’ve tried restarting Minecraft, closing and going back in the world, and buying more maps just in case, which wasn’t the best idea.

How do I fix this?
